Lumo ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Photos you take. When you use Lumo to enhance a photo, the photo is sent to a third-party AI service (currently OpenAI) for processing. The photo is transmitted securely, processed, and the enhanced result is returned to your device. We do not store your original or enhanced photos on any server. Both remain on your device unless you choose to save or share them.
Usage data. We collect anonymous usage data to improve the app, including: number of photos enhanced, room types selected, processing times, enhancement settings used, and general app interaction patterns. This data is not tied to your identity and cannot be used to identify you personally.
Subscription data. If you subscribe to Lumo Pro, your subscription is managed by Apple through the App Store and by RevenueCat, our subscription management partner. We receive information about your subscription status (active, expired, trial) but do not have access to your payment details, credit card number, or Apple ID credentials.
Device information. We collect basic device information including device model, operating system version, and app version for debugging and compatibility purposes. We generate an anonymous device identifier stored in your device's Keychain to prevent abuse of the free tier. This identifier cannot be used to identify you personally.
Brand profile information. If you set up agent branding (name, phone, email, brokerage, headshot, logo), this information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to any server. It is only used to overlay your branding on exported photos as you direct.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal contact information unless you voluntarily provide it in your brand profile (which stays on your device). We do not require an account to use Lumo. We do not track your location. We do not access your photo library beyond the photos you explicitly choose to enhance. We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
When you tap "Enhance," your photo is sent to OpenAI's image processing API over an encrypted HTTPS connection. OpenAI processes the photo and returns the enhanced result. According to OpenAI's API data usage policy, images submitted through their API are not used to train their models. We encourage you to review OpenAI's privacy policy at openai.com/privacy for their complete data handling practices.
Your photos are transmitted solely for the purpose of enhancement and are not stored on our servers or OpenAI's servers beyond the time required to process the request.
Lumo stores the following data locally on your device:
Keychain (persists across reinstalls): Free tier enhancement counter, first install date, and anonymous device token.
App storage: Your listings and enhanced photos, brand profile information, app settings and preferences, and anonymous usage analytics.
This data is not accessible to other apps and is removed if you delete the app (except Keychain data, which persists to prevent free tier abuse).
Lumo uses the following third-party services:
OpenAI — for photo enhancement processing. See openai.com/privacy.
RevenueCat — for subscription management. See revenuecat.com/privacy.
Apple App Store — for payment processing and app distribution. See apple.com/legal/privacy.
Lumo is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Lumo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
